The Shawshank Redemption previews at Wyndham’s Theatre
Following a sell out season at the Gaiety Dublin, the UK première of ‘The Shawshank Redemption’ is now previewing at Wyndham’s Theatre with its Opening on Sunday 13 September. The season runs until Sunday 14 February 2010.
Based on the classic novel ‘Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption’ by Stephen King, this iconic story inspired the perennially popular film and is now a smash hit West End play by Owen O’Neill and Dave Johns. Andy Dufresne is a young and successful banker whose life changes drastically when he is convicted of murdering his wife and her lover and sentenced to life imprisonment in the notorious Shawshank Prison.
