David Ian Productions is a leading entertainment company based in London’s Covent Garden. Formed in 2006, DIP specializes in presenting large-scale theatrical productions in the UK, the US and internationally, and also offers a full general management service to the industry.

In 1934 the singer-songwriter, musician, poet and novelist Leonard Cohen was born in Montreal. He has been inducted into both the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame and is also a Companion of the Order of Canada, the nation's highest civilian honour. Over 2,000 renditions of Cohen's songs have been recorded, among the most recent being 'X Factor' winner Alexandra Burke’s interpretation of "Hallelujah", which topped the UK Christmas singles chart in December 2008.
